This job is a member of the Crew Strategic Analysis Team within the Operations Planning & Performance division. Opportunities to solve impactful business problems by analyzing airline operations data, building business intelligence dashboards, developing statistical predictive models and creating PowerPoint presentations for executive leaders.

  • Works collaboratively with various teams across the crew domain (Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, Flight, Inflight, Integrated Operations Center, etc.) to develop innovative and insightful solutions to improve crew performance.
  • Develops presentations and presents findings with recommendations to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Translates complex airline business rules and requirements into applied programming logic.
  • Designs datasets and implements automated workflows which contain historical flight data, crew member activity, scheduling decisions, and on-time performance into actionable reports, tools, and dashboards.
  • Develops statistical predictive models on large-scale datasets using statistical modeling such as linear regression, logic regression, decision trees and other machine learning or data mining techniques.
  • Performs advanced business analysis using SQL to develop prescriptive operational improvement plans and improves current programs, processes, and reports.
  • Analyzes and develops requirements and provides documentation for IT projects.
  • Uses business acumen to identify and pursue new project opportunities resulting from ad-hoc analysis, research, and findings.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related quantitative field.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • 1 year of experience with SQL querying and/or reporting or equivalent coursework.
  • Master's Degree in Applied Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics.
  • Programming experience with Python.
  • Aviation experience.
  • Credit scoring experience.
  • Marketing analytics experience.
