About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Sponsor Coverage banker, where you'll forge strategic partnerships, navigate complex financial landscapes, and act as the spider at the center of the Rabobank web to help deliver bespoke solutions to our financial sponsor clients. The Sponsor Coverage team offers the opportunity to collaborate with all product teams within the bank to offer specialized solutions to financial sponsor clients, operating in a fast-paced, ambitious environment with a One Rabobank mentality. As an Analyst, Sponsor Coverage, you will support senior Officers in developing and leveraging relationships with Financial Sponsors to optimally position Rabobank for business, including assisting in originating deals through consistent and intense coverage. This involves preparing pitch books, modelling, tracking market developments, and joining client calls. The role is also involved during the initial stages of financing and/or M&A execution, analyzing opportunities and structuring financing transactions. You will build and maintain relations with clients at a junior level and work closely with other product teams to identify and generate opportunities, positioning the bank for success. The role supports the continuous implementation of the local strategy and helps achieve business objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to travel regionally, up to 15% of the time.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Jointly responsible for generating ideas translating the adopted strategy into a (team) business plan comprising activities and actions to be taken in order to achieve goals.
  • Contributes towards the coordination and ensures the proper execution of the business plan.
  • Helps drive the local SC business strategy in alignment with the global AF&SC strategy.
  • Actively builds, broadens, applies and shares professional networks and insights.
  • Actively engaging in certain F&A subsector discussions and, in time, becoming a point person within SC for one or several subsectors and expected to be an active contributor to subsector group discussions and strategizing regardless of whether or not certain topics are of immediate benefit to sponsors.
  • Responsible for supporting the Coverage Officers with maintaining, broadening and deepening targeted sponsor relationships, in addition to building up its own relationships.
  • Responsible for a structured and consistent approach of financial sponsor coverage and planning.
  • Drives, develops and maintains relationships with financial sponsors and prospects in order to generate leads in an early stage.
  • Execution on the design, and composition of materials for strategic pitches.
  • Serves as a trusted and reliable partner who looks after his relationships in a responsible way.
  • Captures client related activities and actions clearly in the according systems.
  • Support and contribute to develop relationship plans and develop strategy for Financial Sponsors and works collaboratively with M&A, LL, Sector Banking/Corporate Finance, FAR and CM.
  • Candidate is encouraged to speak up when he/she identifies an opportunity or solution across a wide variety of complex client needs.
  • Translates these opportunities into building attractive and clear pitches and financial models in support of a Corporate Finance Officer.
  • Seeks to pro-actively improve the efficiency of internal processes and internal cooperation.
  • Champions internal cross-departmental and cross border cooperation.
  • Challenges the way of working and comes with solutions to improve efficiency or having a bigger impact as sponsor coverage.
