About The Position

The Settlements Analyst supports the Settlements team by managing the accurate and timely processing of liquids settlements, maintaining key operational reports, and coordinating closely with scheduling, revenue, and accounting teams. This role ensures integrity in counterparty payments and contributes to financial accuracy through thorough analysis and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting or settlements
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute remittance and sales invoices for assigned counterparties
  • Verify third party records against contracts and system information
  • Resolve volumetric and pricing discrepancies by liaising with counterparties, schedulers, contract team and commercial analysts
  • Coordinate statement approvals with commercial team to ensure deals are implemented as intended
  • Verify payment reports against approved statements taking into consideration deal terms and netting agreements
  • Research and address aged or outstanding invoices
  • Review Unbilled AP/AR reports and Aged AR report, following up to resolve outstanding issues
  • Coordinate with commercial and financial teams to resolve issues through collaboration and effective communication
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close processes, contributing to timely financial reporting
  • Additional duties as required
