You are an early-career sales trading and execution professional with 1+ years of sell-side experience in US cash equities and/or equity options trading in a high-touch, fast-paced environment. You combine strong trade execution instincts with a commercial mindset, enabling you to both service institutional clients and develop innovative cross-asset solutions. You have a genuine passion for the crypto ecosystem and an intellectual curiosity about how digital assets and traditional financial markets are converging. This is a hybrid role spanning execution trading, sales trading, and new product development — and you are excited by the opportunity to operate at that intersection. This role is based in New York and requires five days per week in the office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1+ years of sell-side experience in cash equities and/or equity options trading in a high-touch environment.
- Strong understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and market microstructure, including listed derivatives.
- Commercially minded with an interest in client-facing work and new product development.
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of the crypto ecosystem is required — prior experience trading or investing in digital assets is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software. Experience with TRAFiX OMS is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
Responsibilities
- Execute U.S.-listed equities, ETFs, and listed options orders on behalf of Galaxy’s institutional clients with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Cover institutional clients in a sales trading capacity, acting as a trusted point of contact for order flow, market color, and trading ideas.
- Leverage Galaxy Securities’ unique position as a broker-dealer within a crypto-native firm to develop innovative cross-asset products and solutions for institutional clients.
- Partner with internal trading, sales, and product teams to bring new ideas from concept to execution-ready solutions.
- Utilize electronic trading platforms and tools to ensure timely and efficient execution across multiple asset classes.
- Engage and maintain strong communication with liquidity providers to access optimal pricing and liquidity.
- Ensure compliance with best execution standards and regulatory requirements across all trade flows.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, and compliance teams to deliver seamless client service.
- Adapt to new workflows and technologies in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving trading environment.
- Contribute to the build-out and enhancement of Galaxy’s broker-dealer execution capabilities in U.S. listed markets.
- Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.
