About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Risk Analyst supports the Risk Management department by monitoring, reporting, and analyzing data for the Company’s Insurance and Surety programs. The incumbent will be responsible for the administration of the company’s surety bond program, assistance in gathering underwriting data for insurance policy placements, and providing customer support for both internal and external stakeholders. The Risk Analyst must also generate complete, accurate, timely, and transparent analysis/reporting as required by management. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Acts as a centralized contact and liaison between brokers, field ops, municipalities, etc. Reviews contracts, RFPs, and government regulations to determine insurance and surety requirements. Assists with management of risk portfolio and analyzes opportunities for cost efficiencies. Assists with insurance policy renewals and applications, including coordinating with other departments, comparing and organizing complex data. Manages data quality and integrity of risk database, including preparing audit and SOX compliance reports. Assists on special projects by using analytics and technology to increase department efficiency. Provides customer support to the field divisions by assisting with requests for information required in an accurate and timely manner to meet customer requirements. Responsible for insurance policy document tracking, reviewing for accuracy, and assisting in resolving open issues. Assists with administrative tasks. Validates and processes all accounts payable for the department. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

  • Excel proficiency working within multi‑tab analytical workbooks using formulas (e.g. VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH) and visual reporting with charts and dashboards.
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
  • Analytical skills, including the ability to quickly analyze complex data.
  • Minimum of 2 years of insurance or accounting experience.
  • Advanced skill level with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
