About The Position

The Analyst-Revenue Integrity position at Baptist Memorial Health involves ensuring revenue recovery and claim acceleration within clinical areas. This role requires a deep understanding of Medicare coding and billing practices, as well as collaboration with various departments to maintain accurate charge processes and compliance with federal and state regulations. The analyst will assist in delivering high-quality services across all hospitals and BMH entities, striving for positive customer outcomes and departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in the healthcare industry with knowledge of hospital and/or physician revenue cycle functions.
  • Associate Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, and other regulatory guidelines; familiarity with nThrive Knowledge Source application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of medical coding rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or Nursing.
  • Minimum of 6 years in the healthcare industry with advanced knowledge of revenue cycle functions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with various departments to implement new workflows and procedures for accurate charge processes.
  • Manage assigned account and claim edit work queues, ensuring correct coding, billing, payment, and charge captures.
  • Act as a resource and liaison for clinical charging and financial areas regarding coding and charge capture compliance.
  • Review patient medical records for charge capture and resolve billing edits by validating clinical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to enhance service and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
