About The Position

The Analyst, Research & Development - Sweet Baked Snacks role at Hostess Brands involves creating and maintaining specifications for products within the Sweet Baked Snacks team. This position ensures the consistency, safety, and quality of products by collaborating with various departments to meet project timelines and compliance requirements. The role is critical in supporting the development of packaging, formulations, and ingredient specifications, while also participating in quality programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma required (College experience preferred).
• At least 3 years of R&D and/or Technical Services experience, including 3 years of CPG specification experience.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet timelines.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and act with a sense of urgency.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and multiple spec type creation.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with JMS personnel at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and deliver against project timelines for the creation of Packaging and Trade specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and deliver against project timelines for the creation of Master, Material and Formulation specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the calculation of Global Barcode Standards and that values can be consistently met.
• Participate in JMS Key Element and Quality programs to support R&D.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Ingredient Recipes and Labels meet Compliance (e.g., Child Nutrition, Labeling, Nutrition Claims).
• Collaborate with System Team to assist in the development of system and business process improvements.
