Within the Controllers Group, we ensure the integrity of financial data in alignment with applicable standards and regulatory frameworks. The Americas Controllers Analyst, located in New York City, will play an important role in preparing financial statements, regulatory, and statutory reports. This position also includes analyzing Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss items. You will handle monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting close processes. This role offers an outstanding chance to collaborate with partners worldwide, including Corporate Tax, Treasury, Revenue Accounting, External Reporting, and other groups like Legal & Compliance and Business Operations. Success requires strong attention to detail, a focus on controls, and excellent communication skills. We seek an upbeat and proactive individual to join our Controllers team as an Analyst. The ideal candidate will be diligent, highly analytical, and proactive in identifying and applying process improvements that lead to improved accuracy, strengthened internal controls, and increased efficiencies. You will assist in maintaining the integrity of financial data for the US legal entities following US GAAP and contribute to special projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Must have at least 2-3 years of public accounting experience (preferably in the “Big 4”) or accounting/tax experience in a multinational company
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel & PowerPoint
  • CPA license or CPA track
  • Experience in preparing reports and financial documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and great teammate with an ability to adapt to change and take on responsibility
  • Well-organized, methodical, and diligent with an ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and summarize key issues
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in both spoken and written forms with all levels of the business
  • Initiative and confidence to identify potential process improvement opportunities
  • Independently efficient: owns responsibilities, has an acute awareness of due dates, and works methodically
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Works well with others, sharing thoughts while considering others' views

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance for financial statement and regulatory reporting related to the US legal entities, including monthly and annual close procedures under US GAAP
  • Conduct trend analysis of balance sheets and profit & loss statements
  • Prepare workpapers and reconciliations
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Liaise with internal and external collaborators from different teams and departments
  • Share guidelines between regions
  • Collaborate with multiple Finance departments including Corporate Tax, Revenue Accounting, Compensation Accounting, Investment Accounting, Accounts Payable, External Reporting, Accounting Policy, and Financial Planning & Analysis, along with other divisions such as Legal & Compliance, Business Operations, and Payroll
