The Analyst, Regulatory Relations supports the bank’s Compliance function with a primary focus on Regulatory Relations and Regulatory Change Management. The Analyst, Regulatory Relations supports the bank’s Compliance function with a primary focus on Regulatory Relations and Regulatory Change Management. This entry-level role is ideal for recent college graduates and offers exposure to regulatory communications, regulatory change tracking, cross-functional collaboration, and program and process management and improvement. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Regulatory Relations team to facilitate the bank’s compliance initiatives. This role reports to the Managing Director, Regulatory Relations within the Compliance function. The analyst will receive guidance, professional development support and will provide a foundational experience for progression within Compliance, Regulatory Relations, Risk Management, and other second-line control functions in the bank.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Internship experience or coursework related to banking, finance, compliance, or regulatory policy preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking, regulatory agencies, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret and summarize regulatory information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in tracking and preparing information.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and collaborate across various teams and levels of management.
  • Demonstrated professional judgement with the ability to prioritize and escalate issues appropriately.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with business units, risk management, legal, and other second-line functions to gather information and follow up on compliance and assist in cording communications and information requests for banking regulators.
  • Prepare supporting materials for compliance related meetings, regulatory examinations, and other supervisory interactions.
  • Support organization, tracking, retentions of regulatory correspondence and documentation.
  • Monitor, review, and summarize regulatory updates, guidance and rule changes issued by banking regulators.
  • Assist in the dissemination of regulatory updates to relevant business units and stakeholders.
  • Assist Compliance team with regulatory research and regulatory exam preparation while developing an understanding of the compliance regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain documentation to evidence compliance with the bank’s regulatory change management including regulatory inventory.
  • Draft concise summaries of regulatory developments, examination activities and compliance updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in compliance meetings and working groups.
  • Prepare basic compliance reports, dashboards, and status updates as required.
  • Support additional compliance projects and initiatives as assigned.
