About The Position
Altus Group is seeking a motivated Tax Analyst to join our Real Estate Tax Valuation and Appeals practice at our South Lake, TX office. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to support our Consultants by conducting property searches and extracting crucial data for real property appeal packages. The position is designed for individuals who are looking to advance their careers in data analytics, expertise, and technology within the rapidly growing global commercial real estate (CRE) market. In this role, you will conduct research and extract data from various sources to support property appeal cases. You will perform independent analysis to help define project scope, determine appeals, and complete projects. Building expertise in using multiple database tools to gather key data will be essential, as well as organizing and formatting relevant data points into standard, accessible formats. You will assist in the preparation of comprehensive appeal packages across diverse property types and jurisdictions, and analyze and rebut appeal packages provided by different jurisdictions.
