Our Flight Operations team works hard to connect people and unite the world safely, reliably and efficiently every single day. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation/Aeronautics, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Logistics/Transportation or related field, or 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years experience in related role.
  • 2+ years management level experience.
  • Excel proficiency, strong data analysis, querying and modelling skills.
  • Leadership, communication, and presentation development skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Workforce/Resource planning experience.
  • Analyst level in financial planning, workforce planning, or process improvement fields.
  • Programming language experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help create, maintain, and communicate the pilot staffing plan for United Airlines.
  • Participate in creating the annual budget plan for Flight Operations.
  • Reforecast the plan on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that each month's schedule build achieves the staffing plan.
  • Own the numerical inputs to the plan.
  • Communicate the story of the plan to various stakeholders.
  • Develop monthly schedule with Pairings and PBS teams.
  • Develop and maintain reporting/KPIs that tell the story of the plan.
  • Analyze how the plan performed using relevant KPIs to determine necessary adjustments.
  • Communicate past and expected future performance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis related to what-if scenarios.
