This role is for a highly motivated, curious, and technically inclined individual to join the Operations Technology (OT) team, supporting utility-scale renewable energy assets across the United States. This is not a typical entry-level IT role; it involves working directly with systems that monitor and control solar, wind, and battery energy storage sites, supporting real-time operations that impact power generation, grid reliability, and revenue. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across networking, SCADA systems, industrial devices, and cybersecurity in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. Requirements

Strong problem-solving ability

Ability to stay calm and think clearly under pressure

Basic understanding of networking (IP addressing, VLANs, routing concepts)
Basic understanding of Windows systems or general system administration
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on / military experience
1-2 years of related experience
Ability to travel up to 50% (site visits across renewable energy assets)
Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
Ability to obtain a TWIC card
Ability to work in field environments requiring PPE

Responsibilities

Support the systems that enable real-time monitoring and control of energy assets (SCADA, Energy Management Systems, telemetry, and site communications)
Troubleshoot issues impacting visibility, control, and data flow across hundreds of distributed sites
Assist in restoring operations during outages and degraded system conditions
Configure and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
Configure and maintain virtual environments (VMware / Hyper-V)
Configure and maintain Windows-based systems and industrial applications
Support device-level communications (relays, inverters, meters, RTACs, etc.)
Learn and apply networking fundamentals in real-world environments (routing, VLANs, NAT, VPNs)
Perform root cause analysis across network connectivity issues, SCADA/data gaps, and device communication failures
Use tools like packet captures, logs, and system diagnostics to isolate issues
Document findings and contribute to long-term fixes
Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical infrastructure
Respond to and triage issues impacting production systems
