Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Transportation/Logistics, Mathematics, or related area of study.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills; ability to take complex problems and build logical solution frameworks.
  • Experience with data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to organize and keep track of many facts.
  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, ability to take initiative.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the valuation of new aircraft, aircraft layouts, and retirement scenarios.
  • Model the revenue potential, costs, and NPV/payback of various scenarios, as well as other aircraft-related projects that impact United's Network.
  • Prepare and present slides that tell a story and summarize key findings.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis on the competitive landscape of the industry and future strategy of United.
  • Assist in the creation of Board of Director materials.
  • Partner with a broad range of collaborators including Finance, revenue management, and tech ops.
  • Present updates and findings to senior leadership.
