About The Position

The Analyst, Market Insights supports the development of reports, dashboards, and analyses to ensure timely, accurate insights for strategic decisions. The Analyst, Market Insights will maintain dashboards and reporting tools, perform data collection, validation, and trend analysis, conduct competitive research, and assist with ad-hoc requests.

Requirements

• 2-4 years in data analysis or research roles.
• Strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and organizational ability.
• A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master's Degree or MBA is preferred.
• Proficient in data collection, validation, and trend analysis.
• Basic understanding of market trends and competitive research.
• Skilled in maintaining dashboards and reporting tools.
• Strong ability to interpret data and generate insights.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings.
• Strong organizational ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
• Effective in working with team members and assisting with ad-hoc requests.
• Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Classification societies, maritime transportation, ABS, Group Consulting, and Wavesight is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards to provide timely and accurate market insights.
• Perform data collection and validation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of market data.
• Conduct trend analysis to identify market patterns and provide actionable insights.
• Conduct competitive research to understand market positioning and identify opportunities and threats.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests to support strategic decision-making.
• Maintain and update dashboards and reporting tools to ensure they reflect the latest data and insights.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to gather necessary data and insights.
• Ensure proper management and organization of data to facilitate easy access and analysis.
• Communicate findings and insights effectively through reports, presentations, and meetings.
• Continuously seek ways to improve data analysis processes and tools to enhance the quality of insights.
