About The Position

BlackRock's Investor Relations (IR) team is part of the Finance & Strategy organization and supports senior management in effectively positioning the firm to deliver value for all of its stakeholders. IR team engages with the investment community and helps them understand BlackRock's business, strategy and financial performance. Our key stakeholders include existing shareholders, sell-side research analysts and prospective investors in BlackRock's stock. The IR team also provides timely feedback from investors to BlackRock's senior management. The IR group within BlackRock operates with a high degree of autonomy, responsibility, and visibility to senior management and external investors. The IR professional of BlackRock (NYSE: BLK) will help serve as the voice of BlackRock, as a publicly traded company, to the investment community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree with strong record of academic achievement
  • 1-2 years of financial services experience in investment banking, equity research or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) preferred
  • Strong modeling and analytical skills, and understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple demands; desire to succeed in innovative and ambitious environment
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with IBM planning analytics a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing key external disclosures and support materials, including quarterly earnings releases, Annual Reports and Proxy Statements
  • Perform analytical exercises on BlackRock and its competitors, including examining financial results, strategy and research
  • Engage with BlackRock's sell-side community and analyze analyst materials, including equity research and consensus estimates
  • Assist in developing materials for board, management and shareholder engagements, including meetings, conferences and Investor Days
  • Maintain IR website, analyze quarterly ownership filings, track stock performance and valuation, coordinate corporate press releases, etc.
