About The Position

Have you ever considered a career that exposes you to how money is invested all over the world? Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations performs accounting, money movement, pricing and other services supporting portfolio managers who invest our client's money in Fidelity's mutual funds. Our job is to ensure that all those investments are accounted for and accurately reconciled between the banks and our accounting records. It's as simple as balancing a checkbook but with trillions of dollars, millions of transactions and dozens of banks and different systems! Every day we have thousands of accounting breaks to research and resolve. Currently, we are still working mostly from home. Recon operations is suited for those that enjoy having a regular, daily routine. The analyst role is an advanced operations role, where it is expected that some background in investment operations is brought to bear on tough accounting processes. The expectation is that they will excel at working independently on accounting challenges and propose ideas on making the process better. We believe mobility is positive and will dedicate time for coaching and personal development. Analysts will be exposed to the management function, team dynamics and how to influence and make change.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in finance, engineering or business.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in mutual fund accounting or investment operations.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work well with others and continuously learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting, money movement, pricing and other services supporting portfolio managers.
• Ensure all investments are accounted for and accurately reconciled between banks and accounting records.
• Research and resolve thousands of accounting breaks daily.
• Work independently on accounting challenges and propose process improvements.
