About the position

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of global food retailer Ahold Delhaize, is part of the U.S. family of brands, which includes five leading omnichannel grocery brands - Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop. Our associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more. Responsible for designing, creating/building, analyzing and distributing reports (excess of fifty per week), both operational and financial, that provide analytic information to key stakeholders (Senior Management, Pharmacy Operations, Store Operations and Finance/Accounting) to support all ADUSA Brand's reports and ad hoc requests are generated from a variety of pharmacy reporting tools on a regular cadence as well as on demand requests. Requires analytical and research skills as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills to mine pharmacy data from reporting tools to analyze, combine and format large datasets into meaningful content for end users.

Responsibilities

  • Generate standard and ad hoc reporting from reporting tools on a weekly, period, quarterly and year to date basis.
  • Reports include metrics such as prescription, sales, gross margin, PBM rates, and operational information.
  • Utilize strong analytical and research skills.
  • Research and analyze activity recorded to pharmacy sales, margin and expenses.
  • Provide feedback to Brands inquiring about pharmacy sales, margin and expense impacts.
  • Support the documentation of business processes, including types of reporting (immunization, controls), systems utilized, and steps needed to retrieve data/reporting.
  • Support the identification of appropriate accruals for shrink and rebates as needed.
  • Assist and prepare Brand budgeting, forecasts, and latest estimates.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of actual results to budgets/forecasts.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Pharmacy Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in financial and operational reporting, data analysis, or a similar analytics-focused role.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query, large dataset management).
  • Strong analytical and research skills to interpret trends, variances, and complex data.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and pharmacy teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to document processes.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in healthcare, pharmacy operations, or a related industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of reporting tools and data platforms such as: SAP/EPM, Power BI, SAS (Prod), Data Insights Reporting Tool, McKesson Enterprise Pharmacy Dispensing, Inmar Analytics, or ACIS/DSS.
