Total Wine & More is seeking an Analyst II, Personalized Promotions, to join our growing Personalized Promotions team within our Merchandising department on-site in our Bethesda, MD office. In this role you will help shape and refine the strategy, operations, and analysis for key personalization promotion channels, collaborating both externally and cross-functionally. This role requires strong database knowledge, including the ability to query large customer datasets and structure analysis to measure marketing impact. Using your curiosity and analytical skills, you will extract insights from customer and transaction data to guide strategy and communicate findings across the organization. This position reports to the Director of Personalized Promotions.

  • Collaborate on strategy and support operations, analysis, and reporting for key personalization promotion channels across physical (store) and digital (website, app) platforms.
  • Partner with Marketing, Promotion Operations, external vendors, and other teams to develop offers, execute projects, and communicate insights.
  • Maintain monthly promotion calendar and design testing and measurement plans, evaluate campaign success, and maintain weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis using SQL and customer data to assess marketing effectiveness and uncover actionable insights.
  • Use Excel and PowerPoint to visualize data and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, or Statistics preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • Less than 1 year experience as an analyst preferred.
  • Experience using SQL to pull and manipulate data.
  • Understanding of Marketing campaigns and A/B testing practices.
  • Experience sharing complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience producing clear reports using appropriate software (e.g., Excel - can perform complex functions, PowerPoint).
  • Detail oriented and strong project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate both internally and externally.
  • Works effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter and team player who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Experience in some of the following areas of marketing analysis are favored: segmentation, predictive analytics, digital analytics, measurement, and business intelligence.
