This position will support the GIS and Asset Data organization in Southern Company Gas. The GIS Analyst will develop an understanding of current data state, workflows and processes and develop solutions for integrations, transformations and deliverables. This will include GIS data analysis, data mining, technical support and database maintenance to meet internal and external customers’ requirements. This role requires demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and recommend the best track for data development and processing. Project work will involve process improvement, quality control, data creation from spatial and tabular sources, conversion, migration and maintenance. This role will be responsible for identifying appropriate data sources and mapping specifications, validating completeness and data accuracy, and producing appropriate visualization and output vehicles. This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to be in the office four (4) days per week – Monday through Thursday.
