Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support the development and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs pertaining to environmental permitting, reporting and real estate responsibilities for all CVS Health facilities. The HSE Analyst will work closely with business partners to evaluate data, identify regulatory requirements, recommend process improvements, and help develop and evaluate HSE programs. Under the guidance of an HSE Manager, the analyst will ensure compliance and complete necessary HSE reports. As part of the team, a successful candidate will acquire and maintain a deep understanding of CVS business, products, services and support. Using this knowledge and insight, they will provide fact-based and data-driven strategic guidance on HSE programs, permitting, reporting, and real estate management to help the HSE Team meet their goals.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in a field such as: Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or closely related field.
  • 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.
  • Business Acumen & Communication – Demonstrates foundational business knowledge with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time Management & Prioritization – Effectively organizes tasks, manages deadlines, and balances competing priorities.
  • Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving – Applies critical thinking to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Environmental Permitting and Reporting: Ensures assigned environmental permits and reports are prepared accurately and submitted on time. Strives for continuous improvement in permitting and reporting processes.
  • Regulatory Environmental Compliance: Reviews manifest, training and hazardous waste/biomedical waste inspection reports. Resolves inspection reports by gathering requested documentation and writing response letters that address inspection violations.
  • Enterprise Collaboration and Customer Service: Partners with the HSE team to create program materials and training. Provides detailed program level guidance the internal and external customer inquiries submitted via email. Utilizes the Environmental Hotline and internal platforms to support the HSE field team along with the hazardous waste requests from CVS stores and facilities.
  • Asbestos Program Coordination: Oversees survey requests, ensures compliance, timely completion, and clear communication of results and remediation guidance while proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement.
  • Environmental Project Coordination: Manages environmental project access agreements by coordinating cross-functional reviews, approvals, and signatures to ensure compliant site access and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Facility Project Coordination: Coordinates post-closing site obligations and leads remediation outreach, partnering with Facilities and store teams to ensure awareness, address questions, and enable smooth project execution with minimal disruption to operations and customers.
