The Global Strategic Initiatives team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our dynamic Business Development team. The Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating strategic investment opportunities, synthesizing complex information, and building robust investment profiles across IBM's global markets. This role will support the team's mission to drive impactful business development initiatives through strategic analysis, compelling narratives, business case development, and high-impact presentations.

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to create compelling investment and business cases for strategic opportunities in growth markets, including cost-benefit analyses, ROI projections, and strategic justifications to support decision-making.
  • Analyze and distill complex financial, market, and operational data into clear, actionable insights to support decision-making, construct comprehensive investment profiles, including financial models, market assessments, risk analyses, and support for the identification and realization of incentives across IBM.
  • Develop automated solutions and monitoring systems to track progress on incentive realization.
  • Work closely with technical, operational, and strategic teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions and strategic objectives, fostering cohesive execution of investment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Global Strategic Initiatives team to align investment strategies with broader business development goals.
  • Develop clear and persuasive narratives to communicate investment opportunities, business cases, and incentive strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to convey investment cases, business cases, incentive progress, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and partners.
  • Experience in consulting, business development, or strategic content creation within a technology or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a portfolio of executive-level presentations strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
  • Exposure to M&A, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as hybrid cloud, artificial intelligence, automation, sustainability, and enterprise integration frameworks.
  • Experience working in a multinational technology or consulting organization.
