To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You'll Be Doing The Analyst role will be critical to assisting the IG desk with company analysis and trade ideas as well as providing daily marketing product for the sales force to discuss and distribute to clients. This information should have direct positive impact on the desk's P&L. This candidate will be responsible for providing credit research and a relative value assessment across different credits and sectors. This role will also work closely with our two credit analysts in Toronto to share macro developments that could impact multiple credits. As the U.S. IG desk grows, the role will oversee analysts in additional sectors. How You'll Succeed Follow and analyze investment grade and crossover energy and utility credits. Review earnings and any significant news on a daily basis for credits. Work with the trading desk to position correctly and maximize profit. Work with sales and clients to provide information and investment ideas. Help to increase the credit skills of the sales team by conducting bi-monthly teach-ins. Work closely with DCM and support the group for underwriting mandates. Help differentiate CIBC and elevate our research profile.
