The Analyst, Formulations & Technical Support provides direct support to external and internal customers in the selection of dsm-firmenich products, related application needs, and Premix Formulation Development. Formulation Specialists are aligned with Sales to provide consistent support and develop deeper relationships with our customers. This role requires a solid technical understanding of diverse product lines, various industrial processes, and ability to both formulate and provide many types of technical service functions.

Provides technical support/expertise for developed premixes to customers and Account Managers. This includes advising on production selection, overages, application troubleshooting, and Premix Formulation Development.
Communicate completed premix formulations to sales department to allow for generation of costing on finished premixes.
Assist Marketing with Development of Concepts involving premixes to be presented to external customers and ensure the concepts are within dsm-ifrmenich's capabilities.
Ensure all relevant information is documented accurately, completely and in a clear and concise manner in the formulation and CRM systems.
Work with internal and external auditors, when necessary.
Works with the Application Labs to troubleshoot customer premix problems and identify new applications.
Evaluate application specific performance studies of new ingredients.
Create/Develop/Prepare SOPs for current and new processes for the team.

A.S. degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) in a scientific discipline, preferably in food science, chemistry, pharmacy or chemical engineering, with a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in a relevant field.
Knowledge of food & beverage and dietary supplement industry market segments including their manufacturing processes and requirements.
Knowledge of nutritional ingredients including vitamins, carotenoids, omega-3's (functions, commercially available forms and regulations)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Statistical/trend analysis tools and other computer skills.
Ability to perform calculations related to product development and complaints.
