About The Position
The Financial Analyst I position at Genuine Parts Company involves compiling and analyzing financial information to support the organization's financial health. The role requires the creation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring that all financial data is recorded accurately. The analyst will be responsible for recording journal entries, performing variance analysis, and conducting account reconciliations. This position reports directly to the Accounting Supervisor and plays a crucial role in evaluating financial trends, identifying unusual account variances, and preparing management reports as needed. In this role, the Financial Analyst will evaluate trends and investigate any unexpected variances in accounts. They will reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data, ensuring that general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The analyst will also identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization and promote teamwork between operational groups and departments. Other duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic and engaging position within the finance team.
