Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager, Finance (Popeyes), the Analyst, Finance will play a key role in supporting the financial management of various initiatives within Popeyes. This includes assisting with expense management, financial administration for capital expenditure (Capex) projects, and participating in the month-end closing and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills. They must possess a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles and be able to effectively convey financial information to a variety of audiences.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Self-motivated and energetic, with a strong sense of initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • An undergraduate degree in finance or accounting is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the P&L by preparing monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to budgets, forecasts, and prior-year figures for internal reporting purposes.
  • Work with expense owners to create and manage purchase orders.
  • Reconcile purchase orders with internal teams and vendors to resolve outstanding accounts and invoices.
  • Process invoices for payment in line with contractual terms and provide accurate updates on payment statuses.
  • Assist in tracking and managing budgets for Capex and operational projects.
  • Prepare financial analysis to support project decisions and contract negotiations.
  • Provide ad hoc financial support, including modeling and analysis, for various projects and initiatives, delivering actionable insights.
