About The Position

The Analyst, Digital Analytics and Reporting at American Airlines is responsible for creating health monitoring dashboards and alerts for various products, utilizing tools such as Adobe Analytics, ADX, Azure, and Quantum Metrics. This role involves analyzing data to identify root causes impacting system health, building dashboards and reports, and collaborating with product teams to track relevant OKRs. The analyst will also engage with stakeholders to monitor customer feedback and drive insights, while promoting the adoption of digital analytical tools within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Operations Research, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience as an Analyst, Assistant, Consultant, or similar role.
  • Experience in Data Analysis using SQL.
  • Familiarity with data models and database tools including SQL, Excel, R, or Python.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data extraction and transformation.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging Python automation scripts.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPivot for modeling large datasets.
  • Experience in data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.
  • Ability to present findings to stakeholders and leaders.
  • Experience developing and implementing data processing pipelines.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Create health monitoring dashboards and alerts for products using tools like Adobe Analytics, ADX, Azure, and Quantum Metrics.
  • Utilize data to identify root causes impacting system health.
  • Build dashboards, ad-hoc reports, and deep dives measuring OKRs.
  • Partner with product teams to identify and track relevant OKRs.
  • Analyze data to connect digital data with other sources for deeper insights on customer behavior.
  • Work with stakeholders to track and monitor the voice of the customer and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Prepare updates for leadership and stakeholder teams.
  • Promote the adoption of digital analytical tools through training sessions and office hours.
  • Share best practices and develop systems knowledge to enhance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Data Organization and Data Engineering partners to improve data quality.
