About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a High Grade Debt Capital Markets Analyst as part of Corporate & Investment Banking Group. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com. The High Grade Debt Capital Markets ("DCM") team originates, structures, and underwrites various debt securities for corporate clients with predominantly investment grade ratings. The DCM team works very closely with investment banking coverage partners and relationship managers as product experts to provide debt financing solutions tailored to our clients' needs. The team’s expertise includes public and private bonds, revolving credit facilities, term loans, syndicated acquisition financing, hybrids, and commercial paper among others. In this role, you will: Assist in pitching and executing capital markets debt transactions (i.e. primarily publicly-traded bonds and other debt securities) Participate in analyzing companies and their capital structure Make recommendations to clients Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Investment Banking Program Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Take ownership of client deliverables and coordinate with your team to execute Interact with internal and external customers

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
  • Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification
  • Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Information will be shared about expectations during the recruitment process.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting, economics and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused collaborative and fast paced team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results
