Data Quality Support Analyst The Retail Data Operations team is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of quality and accurate Retailer sales data. This role involves proactively monitoring, analyzing, executing, tracking, measuring, and reporting on data quality issues. Success is measured by the successful ingestion and publishing of complete, high-quality client data resulting in high client engagement, cooperation, and ongoing participation with SPINS.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Quality, Data Analysis, and/or Data Management covering:
  • Data profiling
  • Data discovery
  • Root cause analysis
  • Strong attention to detail, even during periods of repetitive or manual tasks
  • Effective time management in a fast-paced environment with daily deliverables
  • Team player who works collaboratively and provides support to transfer technical and data knowledge to peers
  • Ability to pick up on relevant context easily, and learn new tools and processes quickly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • A drive to learn and explore data, curiosity to push norms.
  • It is the role of a data analyst to uncover and synthesize connections that are not always so clear. Critical thinking is a key trait for this role
  • The ability to problem solve, by connecting data dots to find solutions.
  • Presenting complex findings clearly (written/verbal) to different audiences within and outside the organization.
  • Once given direction, is comfortable completing tasks independently.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the verification of data through a custom application
  • Continually ensure adherence to data quality standards
  • Resolve all data exceptions promptly to ensure there is no negative impact downstream
  • Identify the root cause of data quality errors and resolve them
  • Correctly and efficiently classify alerts as a true data quality issue that was caught, versus a false alert that was not a true data issue
  • Provide recommendations on process improvements to enhance overall data quality
