Our central role includes managing the provincial power grid in real-time, overseeing and evolving Ontario’s electricity market, engaging with government, municipalities and Indigenous communities, and planning for Ontario’s future electricity needs. This is a unionized position that falls within the Legal Resources and Corporate Governance Business Unit. The energy sector is rapidly evolving, offering exciting new opportunities for those who want to make a difference. Under the direction of the Manager, Compliance Assurance (CA), or assigned team lead, assist in the development of reliability standards and criteria established by Standards Authorities such as NERC and NPCC. Support efforts to promote awareness amongst Ontario market participants (MP) and IESO business units of applicable reliability standards and criteria and their compliance obligations. Carry out and assist in the development of CA processes and procedures that support IESO and MP compliance. Develop and maintain tools, contribute to reports and presentations, support the organization of meetings, and maintain CA databases.
