About The Position

BlackRock's SMA Solutions is seeking an experienced Client Onboarding specialist to join our Princeton, NJ based team. The Client Onboarding team is responsible for ensuring a smooth & efficient onboarding experience for new client accounts enrolling in BlackRock's SMA strategies. The SMA Client Onboarding team serves as business partners who play an active role in delivering an outstanding client experience on behalf of the firm.

Requirements

• 1-3 years financial services experience, SMA or Investment Management experience a plus.
• Prior client onboarding or client service experience.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail & organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Excel skills a must, SQL, Python or other competencies a plus.
• Knowledge of BlackRock's internal processes, products, and fund structures a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the end-to-end process of onboarding new SMA client accounts, ensuring a positive experience along the way.
• Collect, review & verify all necessary documentation required for account setup.
• Guide financial advisors through the onboarding process, explaining all requirements and managing expectations.
• Liaise with internal teams such as Sales, Legal & Compliance and Portfolio Managers to ensure a timely & accurate onboarding.
• Identify opportunities to streamline the onboarding process for efficiency & improved client experience.
