The Analyst, Application Development Engineer is responsible for the techno-functional impact analysis, design & code construction activities associated with development of software releases for the CVS Retail Pharmacy systems. Strong technical, functional, and interpersonal skills are key to perform this role successfully. The current suite of systems includes multiple applications including, but not limited, to the Tier 1 systems for Retail Pharmacy. The Analyst Development Engineer will be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills This is a hybrid position. The work location is our office in Woonsocket, RI where you will come into the office 2-3 days per week.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications
  • 1+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices and spring boot framework.
  • 1+ years of experience Cloud Technologies like Azure, GCP or other public cloud services and Knowledge of open-source packages especially those provided by Apache, Google, and Spring
  • 1 + years of experience in React JS, Nodejs or other front-end frameworks; ability to develop effective engineering practices and processes.
  • 1+ years of experience in Database – SQL, NoSQL, table structure, data relationships
  • 1+ years of experience in Agile development practices
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products
  • Experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices
  • Understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices with experience building complex software engineering products
  • Strong background in software development, project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • The candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
