Apollo Capital Solutions ('ACS') anchors the Firm's capital markets, syndication, and dedicated origination efforts. As one centralized team, ACS partners with each of the Apollo's investment businesses to provide capital markets expertise, structuring, execution and ultimately drive syndication efforts on investments across Credit, Hybrid, and Equity. The continued build and evolution of the ACS business is one of Apollo's key strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with deals teams and support senior-level capital markets professionals in determining, recommending, and negotiating optimal capital structures for portfolio companies
  • Attend all Private Equity investment committee meetings to help generate idea flow
  • Develop timely insight into current capital markets, including forces driving the markets, types of lenders in the markets, debt solutions available, etc.
  • Help support senior level team in driving execution processes for portfolio company financings
  • Maintain relationships with capital markets and banking teams focused on core verticals at each investment bank
  • Maintain relationships with institutional debt investors and investment banking teams to encourage direct dialogue, partnership opportunities, and syndication participation
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain deal-related marketing materials and analyses
  • Prepare and organize team-level and portfolio-level data processes and projects
  • Help build and maintain databases relevant to the business

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of analyst experience at a leading investment bank preferably within leveraged finance, financial sponsor coverage, or an industry vertical with debt experience
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to multitask and operate as both a self-starter and team player
  • Strong financial acumen, data analysis, and presentation (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Excellent written, oral communication and reasoning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines
