Summary The Analyst - Air Logistics position will be responsible for managing the overall Air Import & Export daily operations. This person will have and maintain high level interface directly with customers on a regular basis, develop logistics solutions that can reduce costs, improve service levels, and have the ability to build strong relationships to drive the business.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required
  • Proficient with PC skills, MS Office products (ex. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other database management systems) Reqyured
  • Outstanding problem solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Required
  • HS Diploma/GED Required
  • 1 - 2 Years of direct experience in Logistics and/or Accounting Required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM system Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 2 - 5 Years of direct experience in Logistics, and/or Accounting Preferred

Responsibilities

  • General 3PL operations (Inbound, Outbound, In-land, and Warehouse/Distribution)
  • Oversee the transportation of freight and ensure complete customer satisfaction by facilitating timely and accurate communication
  • Provide guidance and direction to freight forwarding operation team on operational decisions based on immediate requirements and urgent transportation
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, inland transportation carriers to ensure that a premium level of customer service is always present
  • Accurately manage and maintain departmental operational tasks such as accounting, reporting, and records keeping in accordance with internal policies, and state and federal regulations
  • Manage accounts to retain existing relationships and grow share of business
  • Ensure that all issues related to service failures are followed up on and corrective action implemented
  • Implement and continuously enhance Air Freight forwarding operational procedures (import and export)
  • Prepare FF month end, support Finance/Accounting department for invoice, inquiries, aging, and reconciliation
  • Manage and monitor freight forwarding accounts receivable an d accounts payable
  • Customer services and client management
  • New accounts operation set-up support and competitive analysis
  • Accomplish top management mission by completing related results as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
