  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience.
  • 3+ years direct experience with healthcare data and analytics.
  • Substantive knowledge of Medicare healthcare industry and trends; medical, pharmacy/Part D, SDoH, behavioral health experience especially valuable.
  • Superior conceptual, analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills to support collaboration at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ASA or FSA designation.
  • Medicare Advantage Part C and D bid development expertise.
  • Highly effective written, oral, and persuasive communication skills.
  • Ability to develop, translate, and execute strategies or functional objectives for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on the strategy and manage actuarial accrual and trend analytic activities.
  • Collect medical and pharmacy data and perform ad-hoc analyses.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of Medicare Advantage, ACO REACH, MSSP, and other value-based care programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and execute analytics that uncover critical business insights.
  • Present findings clearly to leadership and peers to support decision-making.
  • Measure and project savings for affordability initiatives and recommend new initiatives in collaboration with clinical leadership.
  • Quantify the impact of policy reform and population shifts on existing products.
  • Project medical expenses for forecasting and monitor variance to budget.
  • Prepare documentation for actuarial liabilities in financial statements.
  • Communicate results, findings, and recommendations to the organization.
  • Demonstrate understanding of applicable laws and regulations, as well as actuarial standards of practice.
  • Program and analyze key reports related to Actuarial initiatives.
