Requisition ID: 75983 Description If you are a motivated student with skills and interest in Analog integrated circuit (IC) design, Skyworks' Cedar Rapids Design Center is looking for you! As a home to an elite team of analog and RF professionals, you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products that will end up in the next generation of cellular phones. Cedar Rapids, IA is a vibrant city with low traffic, low cost of living, quality schools, and plenty to do in the form of great restaurants, sports, live music, theatre, hiking, biking, and more! Get your foot in the door to cellular phone IC design - one of the most cutting-edge and impactful industries connecting people across the globe. Your job function will include designing reusable analog circuit blocks that will be used in products across the company. You will work closely with a mentor throughout the development process on high-impact and high-visibility projects.
Requirements
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program studying Electrical Engineering with a focus on analog or RF circuit design
- Able to commit to the Summer and Fall 2026 Co-Op Program which goes from June/July - December 2026
- Strong knowledge of analog design
- Familiar with Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE, or similar simulation tools to assist in design evaluation and debugging
- Completed coursework in Analog CMOS design
- Exposure to lab tools such as Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, and Multimeters
- Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities
- Design analog circuit blocks including charge pumps, bandgap references, voltage regulators, op-amps, serial interface buffers and drivers, current and voltage digital to analog converters (DACs), temperature sensors, level shifters, and other analog building blocks
- Compile results in design review slides and present them to the engineering team
- Set up and debug simulation test benches
- Improve our analog design process by applying our latest IC design automation tools to your development process
