The position involves managing corporate action operations for both Mandatory and Voluntary processing, specifically targeting markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The role requires a corporate action specialist who is knowledgeable in custody operations, securities settlements, and financial market operations. The candidate will handle the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate actions and will be responsible for strategic initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders to implement a securities transformation program. The role demands domain expertise in asset servicing and corporate actions within the specified regions.

  • Create, authorize, and control the dispatch of outgoing messages related to Corporate Action in SECCURE.
  • Notify clients of any Corporate Action event via SWIFT, Fax, e-mail, S2B, or other specified mechanisms.
  • Authorize responses to sub-custodians based on client responses and manage account debits/credits for disbursement processing.
  • Oversee the collection and disbursement of entitlements from corporate action events.
  • Authorize vouchers or SWIFT messages for fund transfers to and from Nostro accounts.
  • Investigate all types of breaks relating to cash and securities and manage inventory reconciliation outstanding/exceptions.
  • Ensure all timelines are met with accuracy as per agreed SLA.
  • Manage knowledge sharing among team members and develop individual skills.
  • Provide process training to new joiners and update on process changes.
  • Drive automation of control processes.
  • Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls and timely resolution of risk issues.
  • Complete BCP/DR tests at required frequencies.
  • Escalate issues as they occur and coordinate communication to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate testing for new applications and processes related to Corporate Action activities.
  • Handle internal and external auditors and clarify queries in a timely manner.
  • Manage KCSA related queries and encourage participation in CSR activities.
  • Support migration of new activities.
  • Complete all mandatory e-learning as required.
  • Engage in transformation and STP initiatives.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Actions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in corporate action processing and transaction approval.
  • Knowledge of various types of corporate actions and SWIFT message formatting.
  • Familiarity with allied products like settlements, fund services, and reference data.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work closely with IT teams to resolve system issues.
  • Knowledge of agent banking, sub-custody operations, and clearing.
  • Experience in handling corporate actions in Asia Pacific, Middle East, or Africa markets.
