About The Position

Transitioning military and veteran US Navy Fire Control Technician's are encouraged to apply! Are you looking for a meaningful position to allow you to continue supporting the world's finest submarine fleet? Amentum is seeking a Senior AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System Technician to support efforts at Submarine Base New London in Groton, CT. This is a full-time position and will allow you to continue providing hands-on support to some of the most sophisticated equipment the navy has.

Requirements

• Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED and seven (7) years of practical experience OR degree/formal training and five (5) years experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with test and evaluation; perform validations/verifications of AN/BYG-1 systems
• Assist in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
• Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
• Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
• Interface directly with the on-site customer for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
• Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts
