Requirements

  • Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Any technical or vocational education /training in relation to skills listed below is also desirable .
  • Must have intermediate blueprint reading knowledge and the ability to follow the work order instructions
  • Ability to properly use material processing tools and machines such as drill presses, punches, saws, and layout tools.
  • For klift, o verhead crane and man lift experience preferred (in-house training available)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre employment drug test
  • Team player - must be able to communicate and work w ith others
  • Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet an d exceed all production goals
  • Attentive to detail watching for material defects and any quality issues.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting throughout shift
  • Capable of repetitively lifting 25-50 lbs.
  • Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed, which may include weekends and/or holidays
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 experience processing material in a manufacturing environment
  • Steel Toe Shoes/Boots
  • Basic tools

Nice To Haves

  • Prior machine operation experience desirable

Responsibilities

  • The primary goal is satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity.
  • Specifically, the Material Processor I I is responsible for all job activities required to support production processes.
  • These activities include but are not limited to: Machine operation, cutting, sawing, drilling, tapping, grinding parts , prepping kits, and lay-out s to meet our customer specifications .
  • Employee is responsible for visually inspecting parts .
  • Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures.
  • Also, be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Properly use personal protective equipment when required
  • Maintain regular attendance – have reliable means of transportation
  • Perform o ther tasks as assigned
