We are seeking motivated Aircraft Mechanic Instructors who are available to teach on weekends. To recognize the importance of these schedules, AIM is offering a premium pay rate of up to $42/hour ,. We are currently seeking instructors for part-time and full-time opportunities. Position Purpose The Aircraft Mechanic Instructor provides hands-on and classroom instruction in aircraft maintenance, ensuring students master both theory and practice. This role is critical to preparing the next generation of aviation professionals while fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong knowledge of both theoretical and practical aircraft maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Professionalism, strong communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a related field.
  • CampusNexus experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging instruction in aircraft maintenance principles aligned with FAA and industry standards.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, records, and performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to refine curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Ensure classrooms and labs remain safe, organized, and fully equipped.
  • Support student retention and success through proactive mentorship and guidance.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, faculty meetings, and in-service training.
