Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Senior Principal Program Quality Engineer for the AMRAAM Program - the world's most sophisticated, combat-proven Air Dominance weapon. The Program Quality Engineer will provide in-depth knowledge of Quality Management System requirements to aid Production efforts on the AMRAAM Program. You will help develop and monitor quality metrics, develop objective evidence to support customer deliverables, and supplier activities and requirements flow down. You will work cross-functionally to develop solutions to problems with an emphasis on RCCA. This role will also have interface responsibilities with customers and government stakeholders, including DCMA. You will oversee quality efforts to ensure delivered products and services meet customer and Raytheon requirements. This is an “onsite” role in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of engineering experience in the defense and/or aerospace industry.
  • Experience implementing strategic plans spanning more than 12 months.
  • Experience on Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily program cadence, which includes CORE Control Room, Configuration Change Board (CCB), Material Review Board (MRB), risk review boards, defect management and resolution, customer reviews, Monthly Business Reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement and proactive Quality strategies
  • Resolve nonconformance issues and reduce the impact within the factories
  • Develop program-enhancing partnerships with internal functional organizations, including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, and Ops
  • Interfacing with external and internal customers and key stakeholders to communicate strategy and provide updates after realized improvements.
  • You will aid the supplier focused teams in implementing improvements in our supply base.
  • Expected to support domestic travel as needed (<10%)
