The Amphibian Conservation Area Intern position at the Omaha Zoo is an internship opportunity focused on the care and conservation of amphibians. Interns will assist in the daily care of approximately 1300 individual amphibian specimens, which are housed in a strict quarantine area. The internship runs for 12 weeks, from May 20th, 2025 to August 11th, 2025, and requires attendance at an in-person orientation on the first day. Interns must be available to work up to 24 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, and participate in weekly professional development sessions. Responsibilities include animal husbandry, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in educational presentations for zoo visitors.
