About The Position

Are you a mechanically inclined problem-solver with a positive attitude and a drive to grow? Do you enjoy working with your hands, troubleshooting equipment, and taking ownership of your work? We’re looking for a motivated individual with refrigeration, mechanical and electrical experience to join our team as an Ammonia Refrigeration Facility Maintenance Technician. In this role, you’ll install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems while following all regulatory and company safety standards. You’ll be a key contributor to keeping our facility running efficiently and safely, supporting both the operations and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Positive, proactive, and motivated—someone who takes ownership of their work and demonstrates leadership on the floor
  • Mechanically and electrically inclined with at least 2 year's of experience or a combination of experience and trade school in building maintenance, material handling equipment, or refrigeration (ammonia,)
  • Capable of completing preventative maintenance with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with hand and power tools and comfortable learning new equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working in extreme temperatures (-20°F to 100°F / -25°C to 37°C) with proper personal protective equipment
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs. and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends if needed
  • Comfortable working in varying noise levels and at heights, as required

Nice To Haves

  • Ammonia Certifications (CIRO, Operator I) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical assets that impact facility operations, structures, and grounds
  • Inspect and perform basic repairs on ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on material handling equipment according to manufacturer and company guidelines
  • Maintain clear reporting of inspections, maintenance procedures, and equipment status, communicating updates to leadership daily
  • Operate power tools, cutting torches, welding equipment, and motorized lifts as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, stepping up to support the team wherever needed
