Requirements

  • Expert in AML concepts: AML, BSA, CIP, KYC, CDD, EDD, OFAC, SAR.
  • Ability to create areas of development, creation and improvement of systems, structures, and processes.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Bank Operations and Business Units.
  • Expert level knowledge of electronic transactions - ACH, debit and credit network.
  • Ability to understand processes that include data concepts: API, JSON, Mobile Application and Onboarding.
  • Expert in investigations and research of customer and transactions using core system, AML software, social media, or internet.
  • Expert analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with minimum guidance.
  • Expert problem solving attitude with creativity and flexibility.
  • Expert time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Expert management and prioritization of multiple tasks/projects and deadlines.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expert collaborative skills with the ability to seek out new sources of relevant information.

Nice To Haves

  • BA degree or 10 plus years' experience in Risk Management or Fintech or Banking Experience.
  • 3+ years' experience with CIP Verification / Fraud vendor tools.
  • CAMS certification preferred.
  • Experience working with technical teams/engineers/data scientists preferred.
  • Knowledge of Bank Operations and Business Units preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage oversight of Fintech Partners as it relates to BSA/AML and OFAC.
  • Monitor partner's BSA/AML and OFAC program and test their onboarding processes for compliance with regulatory and sponsor bank requirements.
  • Review and report partner BSA/AML and OFAC metrics to management and Board of Directors.
  • Identify and report issues and any violations of law or breaches of policy.
  • Validate adequacy of remediation taken to address reported issues.
  • Develop and manage oversight program of partner's BSA/AML and OFAC Program.
  • Perform ongoing testing of partner's onboarding processes and report testing results to management and Board.
  • Communicate effectively with management, Board, Auditors and Regulators regarding BSA/AML and OFAC compliance.
  • Ensure adequate oversight of Fintech Partners, including implementation of program documents, onboarding process and vendors.
  • Effectively manage team, including training and developing new and junior staff.
  • Review workflow processes and seek process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop launch requirements for new partner launches and existing partner new products.
  • Review oversight procedures annually to capture changes in regulatory expectations.
  • Report any observations, testing delays or concerns found during testing.
  • Provide testing status and results reports for Leadership and Board reporting monthly.
  • Review partner prepared monthly status reports.
  • Review, track and monitor identified observations through remediation.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of the rules and regulations, including BSA, USA Patriot Act and OFAC.
  • Take on special projects within the department as the need arises.
  • Perform assigned duties within the expected delivery dates.
  • Follow and comply with all regulatory and compliance regulations.
  • Observe strict confidentiality requirements.
  • Work within a team environment and assume positive intent.
  • Manage intake of potential issues identified with Partner AML programs.
