The AML Analyst I is primarily responsible for clearing daily Suspicious Activity Alerts (SAM) and reviewing/clearing e-Wire OFAC alerts. The position supports the overall AML/CFT compliance efforts as required under the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control.

  • Investigate and analyze suspect matches from e-Wire OFAC alerts and other list screenings.
  • Work customer transaction alerts on the NICE/Actimize system, escalating suspicious activity to the AML Analyst II or AML Analyst III.
  • Help prepare and file CTRs for Retail and MSB customers.
  • Aid in Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews for high-risk retail customers.
  • Aid in SAR preparation for activity identified as reportable.
  • Provide other assistance as requested by the AML Officer in the daily managing of the AML/CFT and OFAC Compliance Program.
  • Excellent communication skills required (oral and written).
  • Able to complete daily responsibilities with little supervision.
  • Able to maintain confidential records in a detailed and organized manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Typing minimum of 30 wpm.
  • Good organizational and reconciling skills.
  • AML/CFT knowledge / background or banking experience.
  • A competitive salary range estimated at $50,000 - $61,500 for this position.
