About The Position

The Therapist Associate position involves providing weekly individual therapy to clients with moderate to severe mental health diagnoses. The clinician will collaborate with internal and external treatment team members, including Program Managers and behavioral health county case managers, to ensure comprehensive care. This role includes clinical supervision as part of full-time employment with G.L.O.M.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an AMFT and/or ACSW.
  • CPR/First Aid/BLS certification.
  • Experience working in the adult residential care industry preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of Mental Health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric illness and treatment.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to flex work hours as needed.
  • Willing to work some weekends and overnight shifts.
  • Possess strong interpersonal leadership, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
  • CCL approved FBI and DOJ criminal background clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in group therapy for at least 1 year.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients as needed based on clinical assessment of clients' needs.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on Department of Healthcare standards, clinical experience, and knowledge.
  • Facilitate weekly group therapy sessions with assigned facility.
  • Complete progress notes for all assigned clients based on individual sessions, group sessions, and crisis intervention.
  • Perform individual counseling and crisis interventions.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to client documentation; report mandates when applicable to APS/PD.
