About The Position

Education equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; two years or more of college credits preferred. Experience with direct services for youth and/or community service programs. Competent in reading and math; good oral and written communication skills; good record keeping skills; strong organizational skills; good judgment; demonstrated commitment to public service; ability to appreciate the value and importance of cultural diversity; ability to work with people and organizations with different viewpoints; and ability to work collaboratively with schools, community-based organizations, public agencies, community partners, and other AmeriCorps members. Applicants must provide their own transportation to and from home and the principal service site and locations of trainings, team meetings, and community events. All applicants must be available to serve site specific schedules; some evenings or weekend days may be required. Applicants must agree to provide the necessary documents and information to establish eligibility and to complete a National Service Criminal History Check.
