About The Position

University of Louisiana at Lafayette AmeriCorps University of Louisiana students who are AmeriCorps members will serve from 10 - 12 hours per week at partner sites Mon - Fri. for the fall and spring semesters. AmeriCorps members will serve on and off campus and with local nonprofit organizations. AmeriCorps members will receive uniforms, training and do teambuilding exercises. Members will volunteer with Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, Moncus Park, the university's Office of Sustainability and after school enrichment programs for elementary school students. Members serve part time and will begin in September 2025 and end in mid-May 2026 for 300 service hours. Members may also begin in Januray 2026 and end in mid-May 2026 for 100 service hours. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here. Member Duties : UL Lafayette AmeriCorps members will work 10-12 hours each week in the focus areas of environmental, education and housing. Members will be assisting in construction of homes with Lafayette Habitat for Humanity, greenspace, grounds maintenance and litter survey and pickup with the university's Office of Sustainability and Moncus Park, and afterschool enrichment programs with elementary students.
