Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and strategic matters, ensuring timely and pragmatic counsel to regional and country leadership teams.
  • Oversee all legal and compliance issues in the region, including horizon scanning to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
  • Support growth initiatives, including geographic expansion, new segments, and M&A activities, by advising on and negotiating transactions.
  • Lead enterprise risk management efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with global standards, including competition law and code of conduct adherence.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee the legal budget for the region to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on negotiation, confidentiality, and compliance in collaboration with the Global Compliance team.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to support strategic business objectives and operational excellence.
  • Lead and develop the regional legal team, optimizing performance and fostering career development while contributing to global legal initiatives.
