About The Position

This role is supporting the Channel and Consumer Sales Organization. The Americas Sales Organization is a customer focused, data driven, dynamic, and nimble group recognized by our partners as one of the best Sales Organizations in the data storage industry. The overarching goal is to win through offering our distributors, resellers, integrators, and retail partners a complete portfolio of Storage solutions. It is an exciting time to join the Seagate team. As a Sales Intern, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by analyzing and interpreting data to drive informed decision-making and improve sales performance. Your primary focus will be on sales-out tracking, forecasting, win/loss analysis, and mining point-of-sale (POS) data to uncover actionable insights. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sales operations, data analysis, and strategic planning within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Robust analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with sales operations, forecasting, and data analysis concepts.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze sales-out data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for growth.
  • Assist in developing accurate sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and customer demand.
  • Conduct detailed win/loss analyses to understand customer buying behavior, competitive positioning, and factors influencing sales outcomes.
  • Extract, clean, and analyze point-of-sale (POS) data to identify patterns, product performance, and regional trends.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations.
  • Work closely with sales managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
