About The Position

The Montgomery County School Board, Virginia, is now accepting applications for an American Sign Language teaching position that is available at the high schoool level. Primary Responsibilities: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teacher’s license with the appropriate endorsement to teach American Sign Language at the high school level
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess the ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
